Yonathan Nuño

| Visual Artist |

Yonathan Nuño is a Mexican visual artist, born in Zapotlanejo, Jalisco in 1986, and currently residing between Puerto Rico and New York, USA. His work reflects a fascinating multicultural mix, combining Mexican folklore with the warm atmosphere of the Caribbean.

Nuño describes himself as a visual storyteller, able to conceptualize any idea through independent images, which he weaves together in a single space to tell a story that represents the concept he wants to convey. The result is illustrations with an original and surprising style.

The artist uses mixed techniques, in which Surrealism and Collage stand out, to create visually striking compositions full of symbolism. But for Nuño, art is much more than a mere means of expression: he uses it as a channel for analysis and documentation of psychological concepts, giving his work great depth and meaning.
